Hope you're all having/had a merry Christmas!
We've finally got a white Christmas after two green ones in the seventies. Stuff yourselves full of yummy food and enjoy your company (even if it's just yourself and no family or friends).
It's a quiet one here, excluding the earlier excited screamings and rantings of the boys. The thing that struck me most was that I've owned Bella for a year now. Maybe not HAD her yet, but owned her. Wow. Time flies crazy fast.
Half the stuff I got is stuff for Bella or to use at the stables.
Some highlights from the gifts this year... Michael got a new laptop; Mom got a sewing machine; Dad got some Jackie Evancho CDs; Max and Matthew... Well, Legos, of course! And I got a riding jacket, oh praise the lord! IT'S SO WARM, BUT IT'S NOT BULKY AT ALL. No need for a ton a layers when I go to the stables anymore! And it's almost the same blue as my eyes, so it'll look good with Bella's silvery white and dark grey coat.
I'm going to spend the day drawing and listening to various musics. Mom and Dad are gone on a walk while the boys (both young and old) are busy playing. We're going to watch BBC Sherlock after an early dinner (which EEEE, love that show), and Bella's going to get to enjoy her treats (provided she's good).
And this is just for fun, and because I like thinking about little details and stuff like this.
Ana's spending her Christmas lounging around her mother's house. Her mom's off with one of her boyfriends and her sister's out of country, so she's keeping herself entertained with her laptop, books, the piano, and randomly breaking out into song. Her family doesn't celebrate Christmas, so it's just another day of winter break for her.
Felix is with his family in England, at his father's high-end eventing stable. They went to midnight Mass, came home and exchanged gifts (one of the highlights of which was a new jumping saddle for his smokey black silver dapple tobiano mare and some peppermint treats for her), then went to give all of the horses apples before crashing for a few hours. Right now, they're riding the English countryside, but are going to head home soon for some dinner, then a quiet evening of reading.
Martin's busy hacking into the CIA, drinking some black coffee and grumping about the snow. Yup.
Lief's taking care of some anger issues by hunting down orcs in the Indies. He'll go to confessions and Mass later, if he feels like it. He'll also call to wish Tiffany and Claire a Merry Christmas and thank them again for looking after Dom.
Adrian and Ruby are enjoying a day free from responsibilities of royalty in the highlands of Scotland and some nice father-daughter time. Ruby gave her stallion to Phoebe, no longer having the time or desire to look after him, and is delighted with her new guns. Meanwhile, Phoebe's trying to calm the upset elven horse who knows just what's happened down. He does, but makes it abundantly clear that he believes himself far superior to the young electric elemental, still neighing after Ruby.
Hayley's with her parents and oldest brother's family at the beach in California. They'll do the gifts after dinner, much to her nieces' and nephews' dismay.
